Grant PUD Benefits Open Enrollment

New / Different for 2024

2024 rates

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Premiums change from a flat monthly premium to a calculated premium based on your base earnings. Monthly premiums are capped and won’t exceed $30.98 for LTD Core and $77.25 for LTD Buy-Up.

Why? Premiums based on earnings are more equitable. Higher wage earners with a higher benefit potential will pay more while lower wage earners with lower benefit potential will pay less.

LTD Buy-Up maximum benefit amount increases to 66 2/3% of your base wages up to $10,000 (from $6,300).

Why? Anyone earning $54.50/hr would hit the maximum benefit cap of $6,300.

Use the LTD Premium Calculator and find out how much you will be paying based on your hourly rate.

If you choose to receive care at a Centers of Excellence (COE), your deductible and coinsurance may be waived, Plus, you may qualify for a travel benefit (up to $7,500).

Why? COEs are hospitals recognized for their efficiencies and better patient outcomes. They perform joint replacements (knee and hip), spine surgery, cardiac care, oncology, maternity care, etc. Many COEs are located in WA State.

PLEASE REMEMBER

  • Flexible spending accounts (health care or dependent care reimbursement) do not roll from year-to-year. If you want to participate in FSA in 2024, you must elect the benefit.

  • Please verify that your enrolled dependents continue to meet the eligibility guidelines. The plan reserves the right to audit dependent enrollment at any time to verify that enrolled dependents are eligible for coverage.

  • If you do not make changes now, your next chance to do so will be during our next open enrollment in 2024, unless you experience a qualifying life event, in which case you must notify Human Resources of the change within 30 days.

  • Your portion of the medical, dental, and vision premiums will be deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis unless you tell us differently. Your current elections appear in and can be changed via myHR during open enrollment.
