Non-Represented Employee Benefits
As a non-represented employee your benefits largely match those provided to represented employees with the following exemptions listed below:
HRA VEBA Employer Contribution:
You get $100 per month to help cover out-of-pocket medical costs and/or save for medical premiums after retirement.
PL Accrual Maximum:
You can keep up to 1,200 hours in your personal leave bank.
PL Minimum Use Requirement:
You must take at least 40 hours during the first 5 years and at least 80 hours thereafter. Regular part-time employees must take at least 20 hours during the first 5 years and at least 40 hours thereafter.
Floating Holidays:
Annually, you receive 5 floating holidays (40 hours for non-exempt employees). For new hires who beginning employment October 1 or later, you receive 2 floating holidays (16 hours for non-exempt employees).
Deferred Compensation:
Supervisors managing one or more employees receive a 1% to 4% of base earnings employer contribution to a supervisor only 401(a) Plan. The percentage starts at 1% and increases one additional percent after completing 5 years, 10 years and 15 years as a supervisor or manager at Benton PUD.
